| No one has a completely accurate count of how many
media outlets there are in the U.S. because it changes daily. Suffice
it to say that there are at least 32,000 mainstream media – broadcast/cable
TV, radio, magazines, newspapers and outdoor media. We have all
of these databases in our master file and use them to design the
scope of your PSA campaign. In addition, we have over 200 fields
for each media record, including fields to designate: |
| |
- TV video tape formats
- Ethnic coverage
- Advertising equivalency rates
- Networks vs local outlets
- Radio program formats
|
- Previous usage practices
- Audience data
- Market size, demographics
- High school and college media
|
| All of these media are part of a proprietary
PSA media database we developed two decades ago called “PUBSANS.”
It provides the intelligence data to insure that the right
materials get mailed to the right media in the right format
to the right person at the right time.

 |
|
| Using this information, the system then calculates
the number of media outlets we can afford to target on the given
budget. It also develops a distribution list that can be sent to
the client in electronic format or posted to our PUBSANS GATEWAY
for access via the Internet. |
