Because local cable stations cannot be tracked by the A.C. Nielsen SpotTrac electronic monitoring system, we use affidavits and Business Reply Cards (BRCs) to track usage. The BRCs are designed to elicit very precise information from stations, which prevents them from providing vague data that is not consistent with our reporting software. When these cards are returned to our office, they are keypunched and posted to unique reporting portals we create for each participating client.
Three different types of reports are posted to each client’s reporting portal: an executive summary, which provides roll-up of usage data; usage by station, and usage by title.
The average value per participant is $857,000 in PSA exposure which represents a Return On Investment of 100 to 1.
