“Difference Makers” PSA Campaign

Our latest PSA campaign called “Difference Makers,” a collaborative effort between Volunteers of America and the Major League Baseball Players Trust, encourages high school students to get involved in their communities and help those in need. Called “Action Team,” this national youth volunteer program enlists groups of high school students who plan and organize volunteer events in and around their schools. They receive support from Major League players and Volunteers of America to help inspire and encourage others to volunteer.

The Action Team program continues to add new schools regularly, and are at work in more than 100 high schools nationwide, from Maine to Maui, Alaska to Texas! Since its inception in 2003, it has inspired more than 100,000 high school students to help more than 305,000 people in need.
Action Teams work to improve the lives of kids, families and seniors, among other causes, right in their own backyards. Action Team members recruit fellow high school students to volunteer in projects which address local community needs.

The call to action encourages students, teachers and administrators to participate, and visit www.PlayersTrust.org/action-team.
